This is New Oddity “top 5 portable gaming consoles”, I choose these five not only for the specs and style but for the trustworthy brands that we all know, maybe you already own something from these brands, these 5 consoles are not in order of best to worst. I think all of them have something good and unique to offer.
After saying that i will start with

1. MSI Claw A1M
MSI unveiled at CES This handheld console, known as the Claw A1M, brings a new level of convenience and power to PC gaming enthusiasts. Powered by Windows 11 and Intel’s latest Core Ultra ‘Meteor Lake’ architecture, this mobile console offers compatibility with the majority of PC games.
the Claw A1M advanced cooling system is designed to ensure consistent and reliable performance even under heavy workloads. With two fans and an intricate network of heat pipes, MSI has prioritized maintaining optimal operating temperatures for the powerful hardware within the console. This is particularly crucial given the CPU’s base power of 28W and minimum guaranteed power of 20W, necessitating effective cooling to support sustained high performance.
In terms of portability, the Claw A1M weighs in at 675 grams, a factor influenced by the inclusion of the robust cooling system. While this adds to the overall weight, it’s a testament to MSI’s commitment to delivering a device that can handle demanding gaming sessions without compromising on performance or reliability.
The ergonomics of MSI’s Claw are standard, with two sticks, a D-Pad, bumpers, ABXY buttons, and triggers among the controllers. Furthermore, MSI added macro buttons to the Claw to facilitate the play of games that call for complex controller combos. Given the CPU it utilizes and the battery’s capacity, MSI claims that the Claw can run for up to two hours on a single 53 Wh charge. Maybe people who want to play games for longer periods of time while they’re on the road will need to purchase an extra external battery.

3. Lenovo Legion Go
The Lenovo Legion Go truly stands out as an incredibly stylish gadget. From the moment you unbox it, you realize that it’s a purchase well worth the investment. Its defining feature is the massive 8.8-inch glossy touchscreen, which immediately captures your attention. What sets the Go apart and makes it truly remarkable is its size, vibrant colors, and impressive sensitivity.
The screen’s casing creates the illusion of being nearly edge-to-edge, adding to its visual appeal. However, while it boasts an enormous and commanding display, the panel itself doesn’t quite stretch out to cover the entirety of the glossy coating on top. This slight distinction doesn’t detract from the overall viewing experience, but rather offers a unique characteristic to the device. The Lenovo Legion Go’s design truly complements its powerful performance, making it a sought-after gadget for tech enthusiasts and casual users alike.
The unique design of the Go makes it stand out among other mobile devices, particularly due to its removable controllers. Unlike the majority of other devices, the Go allows you to simply press a button and pull down to disconnect the controllers, reminiscent of the Nintendo Switch. While this feature provides immense flexibility, it’s important to note that the controllers are a bit more cumbersome to use compared to those with rails, such as the Switch. However, the ability to disconnect the controllers means you don’t always have to carry the weight of the device, offering a greater sense of freedom in how you play games. This versatility is a significant advantage for gamers who appreciate the option to adapt their gaming experience to their preferences and environment.

4. Steam Deck
The new OLED Steam Deck seems to be a significant upgrade over the previous models. The inclusion of a bigger battery with up to 50% longer battery life is particularly impressive, as it would greatly enhance the portability and usability of the device. Additionally, the lighter weight of the handheld is a welcome surprise, making it even more convenient for extended gaming sessions. The availability of upgraded storage options, including the 1TB Steam Deck option, provides users with more flexibility and space for their games and other content. The pricing for the 1TB and 512GB models is quite attractive, especially considering the added features such as the OLED display and longer battery life. Overall, the new Steam Deck appears to offer a compelling package for gaming enthusiasts.
The gadget designed by Valve encompasses an array of customizing features commonly found in PC gaming machines. Apart from that, it also boasts extendable storage options, providing users with flexibility and room for expansion. While it’s worth noting that Valve advises against any modifications that could potentially void the warranty, adventurous users can take the plunge and install their own NVMe SSD for enhanced storage capabilities.
What’s more, the gadget is equipped with a USB-C connector and a headphone jack port, catering to different connectivity needs. I personally found it beneficial to invest in a right angle USB-C converter, a true gem for enthusiasts and tech-savvy individuals, as it alleviates the strain on the port while facilitating seamless gameplay and charging. This level of customization and adaptability truly emphasizes the gadget’s appeal to a diverse audience with varying preferences and usage scenarios.
The library management system is a vital part of the user experience, facilitating organized access to installed games, top-performing Deck games, and sideloaded non-Steam titles. With over 5,000 titles and an expanding list of verified games, Steam is dedicated to providing a diverse and reliable gaming experience, meeting the varied preferences of its users.

5. Nintendo Switch
The Nintendo Switch package includes the Joy-Con grip for comfortable gameplay, the left and right Joy-Con controllers with innovative features, and wrist straps for safety during intense gaming sessions.
In addition, the package contains the Switch Dock for seamless transition between handheld and TV mode, a USB-C wall adapter for reliable power supply, and an HDMI cable for connectivity to TV or monitor displays. This comprehensive package equips users with all the essential components to enjoy the versatile capabilities of the Nintendo Switch.
It’s important to note that the standalone package includes only the essential hardware components without any games or accessories, giving users the flexibility to choose their own games or opt for package deals with popular titles and additional accessories.
While the accompanying USB-C wall adapter may be used to charge the Switch straight from the tablet, it’s more common to use the Switch Dock instead of the USB-C wall adapter for charging the system or using it on your TV. The Switch Dock is a black block that is 4.0 by 6.8 by 1.9 inches in size. It has three USB 3.0 connections for storage and peripherals, an HDMI output so you can connect it to your TV and play games at 1080p on a large screen, and a charging outlet for the system. With ease, the Switch slides into the dock, and as soon as it connects, the output instantly changes to HDMI.
