With 65 million views in its first 16 days, Fallout surpassed The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power as the second most-watched series on Prime Video, but following the emergence of multiple large fires throughout Los Angeles County, production on some of Hollywood’s most popular shows, including the upcoming season of Fallout, has come to a complete stop.
Additionally, Disney has paused Doctor Odyssey, Grey’s Anatomy, and Jimmy Kimmel Live, while CBS has stopped production on NCIS, NCIS: Origins, and After Midnight. Finally, Abbott Elementary and other shows were impacted by the closure of the Warner Bros. studio in Burbank.
Although the massive wildfire that threatens Los Angeles from the west remains uncontained on Thursday, crews were able to slow the spread of two other blazes during a brief break from the intense Santa Anas that have fueled the flames. With nearly 28,000 acres burned so far, and entire neighborhoods reduced to ash, the Palisades Fire between Santa Monica and Malibu on the city’s western flank and the Eaton Fire in the east near Pasadena already stand as the most destructive in Los Angeles history.
