In the recent trial at Southwark Crown Court, a 17-year-old member of the Lapsus$ group, along with others, was found guilty of breaking into BT/EE and Nvidia to steal data and demanding a ransom of four million dollars. The individual received an 18-month Youth Rehabilitation Order, prohibiting the use of VPNs and requiring supervision, educational and vocational training, and regular meetings with a probation officer.
